Istanbul: McLaren-Mercedes Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton took a break from his preparations for the 2008 Turkish Grand Prix to make his stage debut in a performance of Troy at Istanbul.
Hamilton "flew" onto the stage to call a halt to the fighting, rewriting the legend of Troy.
"It was pretty cool you know. I'm very, very fortunate with Vodafone. They always have a new challenge for me and I think they know that I like these challenges and today, flying with this, you know this rope, I've only ever seen that on film sets and it was pretty high class. It was unreal and a little bit, not scary, I'm not scared of heights, but it was cool," Hamilton said about his stage show.
Hamilton won four times last year in a sensational rookie season that saw the English driver narrowly miss out on the title.
But this year, Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen top the standings nine points clear of Hamilton.
Ferrari have now won the last three races and are favourites to triumph again in Istanbul.
