Government to assist in resuming Devaswom land

PATHANAMTHITTA: Devaswom and Transport Minister V S Sivakumar has said that the State Government would  extend its full-fledged support for resuming devaswom land in various places across the state. Inaugurating the Deputy Devaswom Commissioner’s office here on Sunday, Sivakumar said that the government would extend help to the Travancore Devaswom Board for its efforts to resume devaswom land in various places like Kakkanad in Ernakulam district, near Alappuzha Medical College Hospital, Karunagappally in Kollam and Kazhakoottam and near Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram district.The minister assured TDB of assistance in taking over the devaswom land through the newly-formed estate division of the TDB.  Sivakumar said that the government would take maximum efforts to provide facilities to the Sabarimala pilgrims by undertaking projects.
