Thiruvananthapuram: Some leading practitioners of ayurveda will speak on various facets of the traditional form of medicine at the global festival, starting here on Feb 9, organisers said. The six-day event will see participation of more than 2,500 practitioners of ayurveda and students from various colleges.
"Through this festival, students will be taught the basic principles of ayurveda. More than 120 papers will be presented and 17 ayurveda colleges in the state will set up stalls. There will be clinics too that will provide free consultations," said event organiser M.R. Vasudevan Nampoothiri.
The fest will bring potential importers and traders together, and a job fair will be held for ayurveda doctors, therapists, pharmacists and nurses. The event will also have an exhibition of medicinal plants, aimed at spreading awareness about them.
