In a horrific incident reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, a mother allegedly subjected her 10-year-old daughter to assault and torture in order to cover up the repeated sexual abuse the girl suffered at the hands of her mother’s male friend.
According to an NDTV report, the girl’s mother also had intentions of forcing her minor daughter into prostitution. The man allegedly sexually abused the victim’s 13-year-old brother as well.
In an attempt to escape the brutal ongoing abuse, the young girl fled her home on January 20. She was subsequently found wandering the streets of Delhi when she was taken into custody by the Delhi Police. She was later put into the care of the Child Welfare Committee.
The medical examination of the minor victim revealed that she was repeatedly raped and sexually abused.
In her statement to the police, the victim informed that her father died four years ago after which both she and her brother were living with their grandparents.
Last year, both the kids were taken in by their mother, who resides in Ghaziabad. There, she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by her mother’s friend, who had also sexually abused her brother. Her brother earlier left home because of the abuse.
For the girl, the last straw was when she found out about her mother’s involvement in prostitution following her father’s death and informed that she intended to push her daughter into the same trade.
Meanwhile, the girl’s mother and her male friend have been arrested by the Delhi police. The police further informed that the woman did not file a missing complaint despite her children being missing since January.
