New Delhi: Co-accused in the Geetika Sharma suicide case, MDLR executive Aruna Chadha will be produced in court on Sunday. Twenty-three-year-old Geetika had left a suicide note in which she blamed Chadha and ex-Haryana minister Gopal Kanda for her extreme step.
Geetika worked as an air-hostess with MDLR Airlines before it became defunct. She was then made the director of an MDLR subsididary company. However, she quit soon following which, said her family members, Chadha and Kanda started threatening her and harassing her telling her to join back or they would "ruin her life".
Both Kanda and Chadha have denied the allegations. While Chadha was arrested three days after Geetika's alleged suicide came to light, Kanda managed to evade law.
Three days after the incident, the police confirmed that Kanda was absconding, although many have questioned why it took the police so long to arrest the ex-minister when they had valid proof. Many even claimed that Kanda was using his VIP status to protect himself.
There were reports that Kanda would move court on Monday to apply for an anticipatory bail.
