The change in the Cabinet is hardly a reshuffle, as major portfolios are unlikely to be touched.
New Delhi: The Union Cabinet will have some new faces by the end of this week.
Technically the changes in the Cabinet cannot be called a reshuffle, as no portfolios are likely to be changed.
The External Affairs ministry will remain with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Only the vacancies will be filled.
Jammu and Kashmir and Kerala representation will most likely be included in the Cabinet.
Congress spokesperson Ambika Soni said, "The Cabinet reshuffle is the Prime Minister?s prerogative. It?s being done since the vacancies have to be filled."
