Former Udupi MLA Sabhapathi joins JD (S)

UDUPI: Former Udupi MLA U R Sabhapathi joined the JD(S) in the presence of State Yuva JD(S) president Madhu Bangarappa on Sunday.Sabhapathi told reporters that though he had plans to join the JD(S) a few months back, it got delayed as they wanted to spearhead a political agitation against the Nagarjuna Power Plant.“With the BJP at the helm, political values have deteriorated and there is no social justice.There is a political vacuum in Udupi and I decided to join the JD(S) to fill that space.I am confident of providing an able leadership,” he added.Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha candidate Bhoje Gowda said that Sabhapathi’s followers would be inducted into the JD(S) at a public function to be attended by JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy.He cautioned Congressmen to stop false propaganda.
