Flat promoters in the city held a protest against the drastic rise in prices of construction materials, here on Saturday. They demanded that the government take steps to reduce the costs of construction materials to help the construction industry overcome the crisis.
During the hour-long protest, the Federation of Tamil Nadu Flat and Housing Promoters Association, which organised the stir made pleas to the State and Central governments to control the price rise of construction materials.
The flat promoters also demanded that the limit of floor space index (FSI) be relaxed from 2 to 1.5.
