First church dedicated to Pope John Paul 11

KOCHI: The first church dedicated to  Pope John Paul II in the state  is coming up in Kochi. The Vatican has given permission to the Ernakulam-Angamaly Diocese to dedicate the newly-built church at Mundamveli near Fort Kochi to the late Pope. ‘’The new church will be consecrated by the end of this year. The church will be under the Infant Jesus parish, Koovapadam, Kochi,”  said parish priest Fr James Perepadan.
