Film producer held for occupying flats

HYDERABAD: A film producer and ten others were arrested on Saturday for their involvement in trespassing and threatening a flat owner.Police said the film producer Vallabhaneni Ashok Kumar and ten persons threatened an apartment owner and forcefully occupying his flat.On Friday night, Ashok Kumar went to the apartment complex and forcibly occupied some flats on the fourth floor, police said. Krishna Murthy, inspector, SR Nagar police said one Balaji Kumar lodged a complaint alleging the film producer Ashok Kumar along with ten others threatened and occupied his two flats located in Jayaprakashnagar in Yellareddyguda."When a team of police reached the apartment, Ashok and his associates were staying in the two flats. We arrested them and during interrogation, Ashok Kumar failed to produce documents related to the two flats. We arrested them and they were remanded to Chanchalguda prison," said the inspector.Ashok Kumar has produced films like Sega starring Nani and Nitya Menon and Erra Gulabilu starring Veera, Sameera Reddy, Karthik and Samantha.
