London: For Andy Murray a small chat with former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson is like 'gold dust' and doesn't want to divulge the details of their conversation.
Both of them spoke after Murray claimed a sensational quarter-final win from two sets down against Fernando Verdasco. Ahead of his semi-final match against Jerzy Janowicz, Murray said: "I spoke to him for 15 or 20 minutes after the match, not so much about the match, but about everything that goes with it.
"He gave me advice on how to handle certain pressures and expectations. Getting that sort of advice from someone like him is gold dust so I'm not going to be sharing too much of it."
A day off would have helped him to recover from the effort he had put in the quarter-final. But Murray would have become wiser from the words of Ferguson and would be keen to seal a berth for another Wimbledon final.
Murray, said: "Dealing with nerves is a part of the job at this stage of a Slam and you can't dictate when they will hit you.
"I don't mind if I'm a bit nervous the day before - it means I'm going to be pumped the next day. I'll certainly need to be sharp from the outset against Jerzy."
