Khwaish - Dream... come true, is the first designer exbhition-cum-sale of the year which opened doors to the city's shopaholics on Friday. A two-day exhibition jointly organised by a group of clubs - Kashti, Kidos, Krishala and Kutumb, was inaugurated by Sabitha Indra Reddy, home minister of Andhra Pradesh at Taj Krishna. Apart from a host of stalls, Khwaish also had a make-up-session by Bollywood and Kingfisher calendar make-up artist Kapil Bhalla, where he demonstrated the art of various kinds of make-up and also gave the particpants a few make-up tips. Themed pongal and wedding collection, the exhibition has stalls of designers who flew down to the city from from Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Kolkata, while some were from the city itself. Sarees, dress materials The sarees and the dress materials in the exhibition range from `1500 to 60000. On offer are sarees ranging in silk, crape, cotton-silk, chiffon, among others. Some of the exclusive stalls that showcase sarees are Designer's boutique from Bengaluru and Aparna Fashion studio from the city, ranging from `2000 to 45000. Mamatha Udupu, a Mumbai-based fashion designer, who has been a regular stall-keeper at Khwaish for the past two years has on offer kurtis and dress materials ranging from an affordable `1600 to 3500.AccessoriesThe exhibition also has a wide range of accessory stalls varying from ear-rings, bags and footwear. Some of the stalls were by Chahaat from Hyderabad who specialise in metal jewellery with diamonds and one gram jewellery ranging from `200 to 25000. Also, another stalls is by Adaa Bags from Mumbai, which has jute bags with kundan work and some other bags ranging from `700 to 3500. Out-of-the-boxSome stalls at the exhibition stand out because of their uniqueness. These include Bamboo Greens stall from Delhi which uses natural bamboo to make door mats, table mats and wall hangings and bamboo fibre to make napkins and towels ranging from `100 to 3000. Another unusual stall was Orchid handicrafts from Mumbai, who make Ganesh idols and other home decors using fibre with a wooden base ranging from `350 to 5000. Khwaish will conclude today at Taj Krishna.
