Faridabad: Jilted lover shoots girl, commits suicide

Faridabad: A woman in her youth was shot dead by a 40-year-old medical practitioner before committing suicide in a case of unrequited love, police said.

Manisha, 24, had come back to her residence on Friday evening when Vinod, a doctor by profession, barged in and tried to convince the girl one more time, police said.

Enraged over repeated failures to convince Manisha, he shot her in the head and chest with his pistol killing her on the spot.
