An ocean of immortal anand means the ever present perfect bliss. Let us examine who is dearest to all. We love our son and for his sake we love his friends too. Of the two, the love for our son is true love because the other love is for his sake. In the same manner, your love for all objects is basically the love for yourself which is atman. This means atman is the dearest and it is for that same reason atman gives you maximum anand.  Though each and every one of us is anand personified, due to delusion and ignorance we imagine that there is happiness outside and long for other things to make us happy.This is just like the case of  water feeling thirsty. The water’s thirst can be quenched only when it realises that it is water. Similarly, if we give up our search for happiness outside and realise that we are the happiness we are seeking, we can be completely happy, and the desire to seek happiness outside will vanish.True nature of god When we utter the word god, e idols of gods in the pooja room of our house or those in a temple come to our mind. An idol is the most familiar form of a visible god i.e. an inert idol with form. The slokas, or prayers in praise of god are outward worship; japa or silent chanting is superior to slokas.Dhyana or meditation is superior to japa, laya or dissolution of mind is superior to dhyana. This leads to the para-brahma state that is free from qualities and gunas. The mind gets progressively finer with worship—sloka, japa, meditation— and finally it subsides completely to reveal a state without qualities and forms— nirguna - nirakara. The perfect para-brahma state Everybody tries to see the paramatman with the eyes, describe him in words, understand him through their intellect and  experience him in the mind. But he is beyond the reach of all these faculties. Paramatman resides in the heart and you must enter your heart to meet him. Get the experience of the paramatman by looking inwards. The state has no qualities or forms. It is ever perfect and is filled with bliss. It is omnipresent and exists in everyone. It is in you too. And  it is your real state.The key to spirituality It is necessary to carry out sadhana in a proper way to reach the goal. If you plan to begin  or the task of accomplishing spiritual goals only after listening to discourses, you forget what has been told in the beginning.
