New Delhi: The second episode of 'Yudh' starring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role gave a little more insight into the world of businessman Yudhisthir Sikarwar's life.
While pilot saw Yudh- as Sikarwar is fondly called by friends and family- being tipped by an unknown man about how the general hospital building, which his company has constructed, is about to collapse any moment. Yudh rushes to the spot and tries to evacuate the building which incidentally also has Dr Taruni, who is Yudh's daughter from his first marriage.
While Yudh along with his confidante Anand Upadhyay (Zakir Hussain) manages to evacuate most of the occupants before the building collapses, both Yudh as well as Taruni get injured.
The second episode gives more insight on the neru disorder that Yudh is suffering from where he hallucinates a clown who keeps warning him that his time on earth is up and will die soon. Yudh, meanwhile is trying hard to hide his ailment from his colleagues and family. His company has been accused of using bad material which led to the collapse of the building and Yudh is confidant that it was done by his enemies who used explosives which led to the collapse.
While the pilot episode of the show was extremely slow, the pace sort of picked up in the second episode. Still, a jumbled screenplay (narratives of different sub plots are not in sync with each other) and slow narrative makes for a dull viewing. Of the different sub plots, the one which is most intriguing is the part where Yudh hallucinates and converses with a clown.
What the show does boast is a very powerful starcast where each actor blends into their role with absolute ease. Sarika made her appearance in the second episode and we are now eager to see Nawazuddin's performance in the show.
