Directive to Collector on sewage water

CHENNAI: Tiruvannamalai District Collector and Municipality Commissioner were directed by the Madras High Court to remove the stagnated sewage water spread over Vallarasu Nagar.The second bench comprising Justices E Dharma Rao and M Venugopal gave the direction while disposing of a public interest writ petition from CM Palani, on July 26.Palani’s public interest writ petition prayed for a direction to the authorities to clear the stagnated water and not to let out any such water in the locality situated at Avalurpettai Main Road, by considering representation of the villagers dated February 22 last year. Giving the direction, the Madras High Court bench disposed of the petition.
