Amidst uproar in the assembly, the Aam Aadmi Party government passed the VAT amendment Bill.This will now allow the Kejriwal Government to raise the cap for VAT from 20% to 30% on several items including Petroleum products liquor, Cigarettes and Aerated drinks.
