Kanpur: Global terrorist Dawood Ibrahim might be behind the Mumbai serial blasts as the kind of facilities provided to "local hands" there could be arranged only by him, underworld don Babloo Srivastava said.
The defence counsel of Babloo, who was produced in a TADA court in the murder case of an assistant customs collector, said an application for enhancing his security had been filed in the Allahabad High Court in the wake of threats from Dawood.
Speaking to reporters after the hearing, Babloo said the facilities provided to Mumbai’s "local hands" for the blasts could be arranged only by Dawood and not anyone else.
The Dawood and Chhota Rajan gangs were now "fed up" with gang war, according to the don, who said the English version of his book would be released by the end of this month.
Earlier, the TADA court fixed August 29 as the date for the next hearing of the murder case of assistance customs collector L D Arora.
