Court reserves order on Rahul's bail
Delhi court reserves its order on the bail plea of both Rahul Mahajan and Sahil Zaroo till June 14.

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday reserved its order on the bail application of Rahul Mahajan, accused under the Narcotics Act, till Wednesday.

The move comes despite the prosecution's claim that there was ample evidence to indict Rahul of charges of alleged drug abuse.

During the 90-minute-long arguments before Special Judge Swarna Kanta, the prosecution relied on the disclosure statements of co-accused Sahil Zaroo and a key witness Karan Ahuja to strengthen its case against Rahul.

Special Judge Kanta said that the bail plea of co-accused Sahil Zaroo will also be considered on Wednesday.

The prosecution, meanwhile, moved an application to conduct narco-analysis and brain mapping tests of Rahul, which will also be taken up for hearing by the court on Wednesday.

The court permitted the prosecution to record before the Magistrate the statement of witness Karan Ahuja, one of the persons present during the late night party at the official residence of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan on June 1.
