Congress MP threatens to quit over differences with TGV

Kurnool MP Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy's announcement that he would quit his post created a flutter in the party circles here on Monday. The MP made the announcement this morning after police registered a case against his follower T Pratap Reddy on Sunday.

Follower of minister T G Venkatesh and former corporator Seshu Yadav lodged a complaint with the police against Prathap Reddy for disrupting the DCC meeting held in the presence of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana five days back.

During his visit, the chief minister held a meeting with the party functionaries and reviewed the implementation of various welfare schemes.  Followers of the MP raised slogans in favour of their leader and entered into an argument with the chief minister on how could he hold the meeting even without calling for Kotla.

They also protested against the absence of their leader's photos on the flexis. However, the PCC chief pacified the party workers.  Supporters of minister TG Venkatesh too raised slogans in favour of their leader.
