Chennai: NIA arrests Sri Lankan national on suspicion of being an ISI agent
In the latest development in arrest of alleged ISI espionage Arun Selvarajan, a Srilankan national, the Nitional Investigation Agency has produced the accused in POTA court of Chinnai.

Chennai: In the latest development in arrest of alleged ISI espionage Arun Selvarajan, a Srilankan national, the Nitional Investigation Agency has produced the accused in POTA court of Chinnai on Thursday.

The NIA has searched the accused house and recovered hard discs, pen drives, micro-tape cassettes, an I-pad, a lap top and five mobile handsets, which are being sent for forensic analysis.

A number of debit cards, both of Sri Lankan and Indian banks, were also recovered from the house. The accused was also found to be having multiple bank accounts which are being scrutinised. Transfer of money from his controllers in Sri Lanka through money transfer service is also suspected and being further investigated. In addition, approximately a kg of Ganja (cannabis) has also been recovered. Further investigation is in progress

Alleged ISI Operative Arun Selvaraj produced in POTA Court in chennai. Sent to judicial custody till Sep 25th. The Sri Lankan national was arrested last night by the NIA.
