KOCHI: Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid on Saturday said if the state seeks the intervention of the Law Ministry in the controversy over the twin post ordinance, the Centre will definitely look into it.  The minister said this while responding to a query, on the sidelines of a meeting organised by the minority section of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), on Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan’s remarks that the party would protest against the twin post ordinance if it was presented in the Assembly. Achuthanandan  had alleged that the new ordinance was brought to save UDF chief whip PC George.  Asked about the march organised by the CPM in front of the High Court on Monday to protest against the verdict on M V Jayarajan, Khurshid said the state should make sure that the procedures of the court were not interrupted. “Organising protest marches are not against the law. But they will have to respect the sovereignty of the judiciary and should not interrupt the court procedures,” he said.
