BANGALORE: The Central Vigilance Commission has requested that Vigilance Awareness Week should be used as an occasion to highlight effective preventive measures taken through system improvements and use of Information technology to fight corruption. As per the directives of Central Vigilance Commission, A Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed in KIOCL Limited from October 31 to November 5. A formal function organised on November 3 on company premises, was inaugurated by managing director of KUDIFC, Arvind Shrivatsava. While addressing the participants on the issue of participative vigilance, he emphasised the need of fighting corruption tooth and nail so that a corruption-free system is developed in government organisations. He also pointed out that corruption cannot be undermined in private sector and called for concerted effort to bring down corruption in all walks of life. Chairman and Managing Director K Ranganath released a booklet compiling circulars issued from time to time.
