HYDERABAD: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday started their probe into the assets of YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after the premier investigating agency served notices to all the investors who invested in various companies owned by Jagan.CBI began its probe following the order given by AP High Court to conduct preliminary inquiry into the assets allegedly amassed by Jagan Mohan Reddy. It is learnt that CBI sent notices to nearly 20 investors and 30 more will be receiving them shortly. However, CBI officials are tightlipped about the identity of the investors even as there is speculation that several prominent politicians and businessmen received notices. However, no notice was served to Jagan Mohan Reddy himself. “We cannot share names of the persons who invested in various companies of Jagan since High Court is pursuing the case,” a CBI official said. The investors are expected to answer the queries of CBI about the investment that they made and the shares they enjoy. They are also expected to disclose the form in which they made the investment. The respondents are also supposed to tell the basis on which they invested the money in the companies. All the replies must be furnished within 48 hours.
