Caste clashes lead to mass exodus of Dalits from Noida village
It is being reported that the Gujjars, an upper caste in North India used bulldozers and earth moving machines to race down a school in Kanwaia village where over 300 Dalit students were enrolled.

Noida: Over a 100 members of Dalit community in a Noida village were allegedly forced to leave due to the high handedness of some people belonging to the Gujjar community.

It is being reported that the Gujjars, an upper caste in North India used bulldozers and earth moving machines to race down a school in Kanwaia village where over 300 Dalit students were enrolled.

Over 100 Dalits, mainly labourers at construction site fled the village in Noida's Sector 58 following the incident. The clashes had broken out between the two castes on Monday when they met to settle a long standing dispute over a 70 square metre land.

Police have registered an FIR and three people have been arrested in this connection.
