THIRUVNANTHAPURAM: A group of 19 students from the Kansas University School of Business (KUSB) has embarked on a three-week India Study Abroad Programme. The Asian School of Business (ASB) here is hosting the visiting students, who will be travelling through major cities of south India to learn the business practices across a wide spectrum of Indian economy. The group, led by co-directors of the KUSB Prof K Joseph and Prof Joyce Claterbos, will visit Bangalore, Mysore and Kochi, besides Thiruvananthapuram, to get a feel of diverse sectors such as IT, tourism, health care, mass manufacturing and retail. ASB director Prof S Rajeev said that it is the second consecutive year that students from KUSB have come for the mutually beneficial programme. The students, from countries like the US, Canada, Brazil and China, have previous work experience in fields as diverse as sports marketing, food retailing, information technology, plastics, marketing communications, taxation, banking and social entrepreneurship.
