Bus Owned by Badals Runs Over Two in Ludhiana
Eyewitnesses and passengers on the bus told the police that the driver was speeding when the accident happened.

Two people were killed on Thursday after a private bus run by a transport company owned by Punjab's ruling Badal family ran them down in Ludhiana.

The victims, a father and son, were riding on their motorcycle when the bus owned by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal's family members, ran over them near Mullanpur on the Ludhiana-Ferozepur highway.

Following the incident angry locals vandalised the bus and set it fire.

Eyewitnesses and passengers on the bus told the police that the driver was speeding when the accident happened.

The police have registered a case against the bus driver.

In July last year another bus owned by the Badals had run over a cyclist killing him on the spot.

A case of molestation was also reported in another bus owned by the same company.
