B.Tech graduate among three held in currency racket
Two of them ventured into the business after losing their jobs

Three persons including a BTech graduate were arrested for circulating fake Indian currency on Sunday in Amberpet police limits. Police seized fake notes of Rs 100 denomination with a face value of Rs 90,600, a computer and a printer from their possession.

According to the police, two youngsters, D Rajasekhar, a B.Tech graduate and a resident of Ramnthapur, and A Venkata Reddy, a resident of Uppuguda, were found moving on a bike under suspicious circumstances near Vinayak Nagar crossroads on Saturday night. The police intercepted them and during questioning found that they were involved in preparing fake currency with the help of their friend G Srinivasa Reddy.

“We raided Rajasekhar’s house in Ramanathapur where Srinivasa Reddy has been staying and seized fake currency with a denominational value of Rs 70,600,” said additional deputy commissioner of police M Venkateswara Rao.   Rao said Rajasekhar and Venkata Reddy are friends and worked together at the Reliance call centre in the city.

The duo lost their jobs a few days ago and decided to prepare fake currency to overcome their financial problems.

They met Srinivasa Reddy who agreed to join them in their plan. They purchased colour a printer and a computer.
