Bomb scare at PVNR Expressway

HYDERABAD: A bomb scare created a flutter at Mehdipatnam near P V Narasimha Rao Expressway which turned out to be hoax.At about 5.30 p.m, police received a call from an unidentified person stating that a bomb has been planted at pillar number 40 of the PVNR Expressway and it would go off any moment.The Asifnagar police rushed a bomb disposal squad to the site which found a polythene cover in which sand and copper wires were placed.'We are trying to identify the caller and take stern action against him,' said Mohammed Abdul Zaveed, Asifnagar police inspector said.
