Mira Nair's AIDS Jaago was screened at the IFFI in Panaji.

Goa: Just days before the world International AIDS Day, Mira Nair's AIDS Jaago was screened at the International Film Festival of India in Panaji.

Mira Nair's AIDS Jaago', a series of four short films made by four different filmmakers namely Vishal Bharadwaj, Santosh Sivan, Farhan Akhtar and one by Mira herself, was screened at the 38th IFFI. Though the film has a cast of Ayesha Takia, Sameera Reddy, Irfan Khan, Boman Irani and Pankaj Kapur, the only actress who showed up for the screening was Raima Sen.

Talking about her looks, Raima said that Mira Nair gave her an absolute different look in the film.

Despite being films that would have helped spread awareness about AIDS, the Indian producers of the AIDS Jaago project had one complaint that not all top Bollywood actors, who were approached for the films, were keen to work in them.

"I cannot talk about other actors...but I wanted to be a part of this film,” says Raima.

These short films will be showcased on the television soon and the producers are hopeful for a theatrical release soon too.
