PUDUCHERRY: The body of a Pondicherry University employee, who had been missing since March 26 was recovered on Tuesday from a secluded area near Vanur in Tamil Nadu. Velayudham (40), an academic Instructor of the Performing Arts department of the University and a Ph D student, went out for a recharge coupon and but did not return to his Lawspet home. A complaint was registered with Lawspet police. The highly decomposed body was found hanging on an electrical tower. It was recovered by the Tamil Nadu police and handed over to the Pondy police. Further investigations are on.Rowdy Hacked An unidentified gang hacked a notorious rowdy to death in front of a liquor shop near Kokku Park here on Tuesday. The deceased, Augustine (27), was an accused in two murder cases. A case has been registered.
