BANGALORE: As many as 37 legislators of the BJP who were elected from the reserved constituencies in the state have reportedly urged the central party leaders to provide them with better representation in the state Cabinet, including that of the post of deputy CM.Confirming the request, Minister for Minor Irrigation Govind Karjol expressed confidence that the senior party leaders would respond positively to their plea.He informed that people belonging to the oppressed communities, including scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, have rallied behind the BJP for the first time, helping them form their first-ever government south of the Vindhyas.
