KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Monday asked G S Harikrishnan, the first accused in the suicide case of a nursing student, to surrender before the investigating officer within 10 days.Justice N K Balakrishnan passed the order while dismissing Harikrishnan’s plea. However, he has been permitted to file a bail application before the magistrate concerned.Shruthi Srikanth, a second year BSc Nursing student, committed suicide after the bank officials allegedly denied her an educational loan. The bank authorities said that she had failed in one subject and had only cleared the examination in another attempt. They also claimed that her mother had defaulted on a previous loan sanctioned by the bank.
