HYDERABAD: Following high alert in the twin cities after Delhi High Court blasts, police on Wednesday arrested more than 20 Bangladesh nationals for their illegal stay in the city. The Bangladesh nationals reportedly came to the city two days back in search of a livelihood.
On a tip off, Nacharam police took 21 suspects into custody from Mallapur. During interrogation, they said they were from a same locality in Dhaka and that they sneaked into the country through West Bengal on Sept 10.Police said that after entering West Bengal, the group reached Kolkata. While they were searching for a job there, someone informed the group about some cable works at Mallapur in the city.

Soon they boarded a train to Howrah and arrived in Secunderabad on Sept 13. They made temporary shelter on the roadside at Mallapur and started looking for work. Meanwhile, police were alerted about them by some locals.
