Arun Jaitley files his nomination papers from Amritsar

Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley on Monday filed his nomination papers from Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency.

Jaitley accompanied by his wife and daughter besides local leadership of BJP and SAD, filed his nomination in Amritsar before Deputy Commissioner cum Returning officer Ravi Bhagat.

Before filing his nomination, he paid obeisance at Golden Temple to seek blessings from Almighty for success in the elections. Jaitley is pitted against heavy weight Congress candidate Capt Amarinder Singh in Amritsar who has filed his nomination on April 4.

Amritsar goes to poll on April 30, along with Punjab's 12 other constituencies.
