New Delhi: In yet another shocking incident an Army jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in Jammu, official sources said on Wednesday.
The jawan took out his service rifle and allegedly shot himself dead in the unit on Tuesday night, they added.
He has been identified as Kamlander Singh of Madhya Pradesh and was working in the ordinance unit at 26 infantry division headquarters in Jammu cantonment.
News agency PTI quoted senior officials and colleagues as saying that they found the jawan lying dead in a pool of blood when they went there.
An inquiry has been ordered into the case, they said adding the jawan was granted leave for one month a few days back.
