New Delhi: In the wake of recent murder of Mumbai Mid-Day journalist Jyotirmoy Dey, social activist Anna Hazare has written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh expressing his concern towards the issue. Anna demands stringent laws to curb such threats from the society.

Dear Sir,
Growing attacks on journalists, who are considered to be the 4th pillar of democracy, is a serious threat to India's democratic structure. Stringent laws will need to be enacted as soon as possible to curb out such kind of heinous attacks. I would request you to look into this matter and do the needful.
