The art show titled ‘Distinct Four’ has roped in four artists — Dhiren Sasmal, B Nagesh Goud, Jagannath Paul and Deepa Vedpathak, whose works of art are distinct from one another in more than one way. Sasmal, whose art involves strokes of acrylic colors on canvas, primarily focuses on adolescent dreams in bright hues like red and green along with basics like white and black. Moving on to Goud, the second artist in this group show — his arts of work are inspired by epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharatha.He has not only used acrylic colours, but also used water and metallic colours. Goud, who is a lover of Indian puppets mentions that most of his works are based on nature. Furthermore, sharing the same space are Paul’s works, that potray women power and a woman’s relationship with her man.The paintings are predominantly in acrylic colors, which bring to life meticulous details of the subject and clearly depict various emotions that humans experience. And, lastly, Vedpathak has chosen the concept of music for her paintings.Her primary idea is to spread happiness through her paintings and they indeed make one smile.Distinct Four exhibition is on till December 3.
