Ajit Jogi suffers massive heart attack
The former Chhattisgarh CM is admitted to Escorts Hospital in New Delhi as his supporters pray for his speedy recovery.

Raipur: Former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Ajit Jogi was admitted to Escorts Heart Institute in New Delhi following a heart attack.

"He is not out of the ICU. He has just been shifted from one heart care centre to another where the facilities are more suited to his kind of care. He has made some improvement over last night and we are hoping that over the next 24-48 hours there will be further improvement," Dr Naresh Trehan of Escorts Hospital said.

His condition is said to be improving and hospital authorities claim that he's out of danger.

"Doctors are saying that his condition is constantly improving over last night. His blood pressure and other parameters are normal but he is on ventilator and life support. Doctors will decide on the further treatment after observing him for 12 hours," Dr Renu Jogi, his wife said

Jogi's today offered prayers at places of worship for the speedy recovery of their leader, sources said

"Almost at all the temples of Raipur city, there were special pujas", Shailesh Nitin Trivedi , Jogi's political secretary said

A group of supporters also thronged at 'Anugraha', his official residence in the city, to know about his latest health condition.

Several of his supporters said that they had been to religious places today to seek the blessings of the Almighty at this 'critical juncture'.

"Special prayers were being held since early morning at various Churches, Mosques and Temples for the speedy recovery of Jogi, who is in such a condition for the second time in less than two years", Hassan Khan, one of Jogi followers, said.

Another Jogi well-wisher, Sanjay Agrawal said several Congress leaders and his well-wishers have left for Delhi, to be by the side of Jogi's wife, Dr Renu Jogi.
