AIIEA general secretary retires from service

HYDERABAD: All-India Insurance Employees Association (AIIEA) organised a colourful farewell ceremony for K Venugopal, general secretary of the AIIEA at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan here on Saturday.Speaking on the occasion, Venugopal said pushing back the government’s attempt to liberlise the insurance sector in the country was a collective effort of the  employees across the country.Thanking the employees for their co-operation in discharging his responsibility, he appealed to everyone to broaden their political understanding so that AIIEA could emerge more stronger in defeating the government’s policies.Venugopal joined the Life Insurance Corporation of India in 1971 at Machilipatnam.CPM state secretary BV Raghavulu, state CITU president S Veeraiah and AIIEA leaders NM Sundaram, Chandrasekhar Bose, V Ramesh and others were present.
