Gaza: Jaime Razuri, a photographer of the French news agency AFP, was released a week after he was abducted in Gaza.
Razuri, who was freed late on Sunday, told journalists outside Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' office: "I am well, my health is good."
He thanked those who had worked for his release and said that his captors "treated me well and gave me good food". He was escorted by Abbas' Presidential Guard.
Razuri, a Peruvian, was on assignment for AFP when he was kidnapped Jan 1 in Gaza City by masked gunmen.
Although his kidnappers remain unidentified, some security sources in Gaza claim that a large family, which had two members killed in recent Palestinian infighting between the rival Fatah and Hamas factions, might be behind the abduction.
Meanwhile, the Islamic movement Hamas and five other organisations aligned with it issued a harsh statement against Abbas and senior Fatah official Mohammed Dahlan, saying that the two would be blamed for any attack against Hamas' armed Executive Force.
The statement came a day after Abbas, Fatah party leader, declared Hamas' troops "illegal".
Earlier on Sunday, Fatah held a large rally in Gaza, during which Dahlan was critical of Hamas and made disparaging remarks against the Islamic movement, which has headed the Palestinian government since defeating Fatah in the January 2006 elections.
