AFCAT 2018 Admit Card is expected to be released today by the Indian Air Force on its official website - afcat.cdac.in.
As per the official website, 'The admit cards would be available for download with effect from February 7', therefore candidates who had applied for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2018 for admissions in courses commencing January 2019, must keep tab on the official website and download their Admit Card as it is released.
The AFCAT 2018 online exam is scheduled to be organized on Sunday, 25th February 2018, this month for candidates who wish to get grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in flying branch and Permanent Commission (PC) / Short Service Commission (SSC) in ground duty (technical and non-technical) branches of the Indian Air Force.
The Indian Air Force is the first of three defence services of the country to adopt IT-enabled Online Testing system in collaboration with C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing) for entry of candidates as Airmen and Officers. While Air Force Common Admission Test - AFCAT 2018 will be conducted for Officers cadre, the Scheduled Test for Airmen Recruitment - STAR 2018 will be organized for Airmen cadre recruitment.
Thereby, now Indian Air Force aspirants can join the Air defence arm via AFCAT apart from the existing National Defence Academy (NDA), Combined Defence Services (CDS) examinations.
