We extend our warm wishes to M Sasikumar who is celebrating his birthday today. The director-producer-actor is on a roll after the success of his latest film 'Sundarapandian' and would be looking forward to a prospective year in Kollywood.
Sasikumar started his work in the industry as an assistant director and became friends with director Ameer who was also an AD then. Eventually, he joint Ameer and assisted him in the making of 'Mounam Pesiyadhe' and 'Raam', both of which became hits in Tamil Nadu. And by the time Ameer started working on 'Paruthiveeran', Sasikumar was all set to work on his first film, 'Subramaniapuram'.
His move into the spotlight came with the release of 'Subramaniapuram', which had Jai, himself and Swathi playing the lead roles. The film went on to get critical acclaim and earned Sasikumar the attention of the entire industry. He quickly used his success and produced 'Pasanga', which acquired four national awards. He is known to give chances to new faces in cinema and his introduction of Director Pandiraj and Vimal in Pasanga is an example.
Since then, he has been busy playing actor and producer in films like 'Poraali' and 'Sundarapandian' and is currently working on three other projects in Tamil. We would like to wish him the very best of luck for his ventures.
