The aim was to see and understand the differences between Old Madras and New Chennai. The school put together things related to the lifestyle of olden day Madras and compared them with the new lifestyles. Parents contributed and arranged old articles like utensils, currency, lamps, jewel boxes, idols, calendars and pictures. The school also collected picture charts showcasing old madras roads , leaders, lifestyle and vehicles. These displays taught the students how Madras has transformed in the last 20 years. Students were also taught to understand the pride with which they must look at the city that they live in and remember some of the leaders under whom the city has flourished to reach where it is now.
