7-year-old falls into sump, dies

BANGALORE: A seven-year-old boy died after he accidentally fell into a water sump near his house while playing.The incident was reported at Sultan Palya on Hebbal Ring Road. The deceased, Mithun Raj, was a second standard student at a private school in R T Nagar.He was the son of Devaraj, a PWD contractor and Bhagya Lakshmi. Police said while playing, at around 1.30 pm Mithun fell into the water sump of his house.However, the other children who were playing with him did not inform his parents.As he did not return in the evening, his parents started searching for him and found him dead in the sump.
