3 held with fake notes

HYDERABAD: Three persons were arrested by the Kulsumpura police here on Tuesday while they were trying to circulate counterfeit currency.Police seized 28 fake currency notes of `1,000 denomination from them.According to police, the arrested are Mohammed Hazikul of West Bengal, Mohammed Arif of Bihar and Mohammed Taleem of Mangalhat in the city.Police caught Arif and Taleem based on information provided by fruit vendors of Puranapul.The duo purchased fruits twice and exchanged `1,000 notes for the purchases.Fruit vendors grew suspicious and alerted the police who took the duo into custody for questioning.They found three more fake `1,000 notes.On their confession, one Hazikul was nabbed from Borabanda and another 25 fake notes were seized from him.
