Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with great splendour in India. On this auspicious occasion, people from all across the world visited temples to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Thursday marked the tenth and last day of Ganesh Chaturthi, and devotees are bidding farewell to Lord Ganesha with love and affection.

Ganesh Mandapalas and temples were being embellished for the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. In a recent instance, Ganpati’s statutes were being adorned with rakhis in Telangana’s Warrangal. Earlier, at another place Lord Ganesha’s statues were decorated with currency notes of denominations including 50s, 100s, 200s and 500s.

Despite the bustling crowds of devotees on the streets, the diverse forms of Lord Ganesha were truly remarkable. The array of idols adorning the Mandapams, each with its unique setting, added to the delight of the festivities. Apart from Warangal city, the Tirlokka Ganapathis had a special allure in many areas of the combined district.

In the Vinayaka mandapalas arranged by the Shri Lakshmi Vinayaka Corporation on Dolphin Street in the heart of the city, Lord Ganesha was installed in various forms to delight the devotees with a personalised experience. In one mandapam organised by the Shri Lakshmi Vinayaka Corporation, Lord Ganapati was adorned with 10,000 rakhis. In another, he was worshipped as the embodiment of India’s tricolour flag.

The organisers build eco-friendly Ganapathi idols such as clay Ganapati, dry fruits Ganapati, and coconut Ganapati to promote environmental conservation. This year, they had adorned Ganapathi with a staggering 10,000 rakhis. The organisers mentioned that it took approximately 20 days and a budget of Rs 25,000 to adorn the Ganpathi statue.

During the Ganapathi celebration in Telangana, devotees were treated to different forms of Ganapathi idols. Among them were Dryfruits Ganapati, Spices Ganapati, Tricolor Ganapati, Khaki Ganapati, and even a Ganapati designed to resemble Chandrayaan, the spacecraft launched by ISRO.

Devotees were captivated by the myriad forms and vibrant colours of Lord Ganesha. The organisers had invested substantial resources, dedicating lakhs to craft these idols.
