Simple Ways to Add a Poll to Your Tumblr Site

• If you're using your smartphone, open Tumblr, tap the pencil icon, then tap the Poll icon.
• On the website, click "Create > Text" and click the Poll icon.
• Each poll can have 10-12 answers depending on the platform, and each answer can have up to 80 characters.

Using the Mobile App

Open Tumblr. Tap the app icon that looks like a "t" on a flower background. Sign in if prompted.

Tap Android 7 Edit. This pencil icon is in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Tap the Poll icon. It looks like a list of checkboxes with one checkmark and you'll find it at the bottom of your screen. When you tap it, you'll be prompted to ask a question and see blank areas for Answer 1 and Answer 2.

Fill in your question and answers. Tap the fields to open your keyboard and input your question and multiple answers. You can add more answers by tapping the + at the bottom. You can have up to 10 answers per poll. Add hashtags (#) so other people can find your poll more easily! Each answer can have up to 80 characters.

Choose the poll length. Tap the dropdown box that says "1 day" and choose if you want the poll to appear for 1 day or 1 week.

Tap Post. When you're ready to post the poll to your Tumblr blog, simply tap Post. You can't edit existing polls.

Using the Website

Go to https://www.tumblr.com/ and sign in. Use any web browser to log into this site and create a poll. Use this method on any Mac, Windows, or Linux computers and laptops. Also use this method if you're using Desktop Mode on your Android, iPhone, or iPad.

Click Android 7 Edit. This pencil icon is in the bottom left or top right corner of your screen with "Create."

Tap Text. You'll see this with an "Aa" icon on a white background.

Tap the Poll icon. It looks like a list of checkboxes with one checkmark. You'll see it to the right of your text field. When you tap it, you'll be prompted to ask a question and see blank areas for Answer 1 and Answer 2.

Fill in your question and answers. Click the fields, then use your keyboard to input your question and multiple answers. You can add more answers by clicking the + at the bottom. You can have up to 12 answers per poll. Add hashtags (#) so other people can find your poll more easily! Each answer can have up to 80 characters.

Click Post now. When you're ready to post the poll to your Tumblr blog, simply click Post. Alternatively, click the drop-down arrow to schedule the post to publish later. You can't edit existing polls.
