App
Download the Tesco app on your phone. Opt for the iOS Tesco app if you use an iPhone. If you’ve got an Android device, use the Google Play Tesco app. Tesco really wants you to use a phone app instead of a physical clubcard. If you want to order a physical card, you’ll need to complete this process at a computer. Unfortunately, you cannot get the Tesco app if you don’t have an iPhone or Android device.
Enter your personal information to sign up for a digital clubcard. Open the app, enter your address, email, and personal information, then select “sign up for a clubcard” when you verify your info. Tesco will give you a clubcard to use immediately.
Use your phone’s app the same way you’d use a physical card. Once you’ve downloaded the Tesco app and registered your account, the app is your clubcard. Open the app whenever you’re in line at the checkout and present the digital card the same way you’d present a normal card. While you may prefer a physical card, it’s actually super convenient to use your phone for this!
Online
Visit Tesco online to register for a new card. This is the best option if you want a physical Tesco card, although you can link an account you make online to an app if you’d like. Go here if you already have an account and you simply lost your card.
Enter your personal information and validate the address. On the sign-up page, enter your name, email address, and phone number. Then, enter your postal code and county before selecting “validate my address.” A dropdown menu with addresses will pop up. Select your address and hit “verify” again. You are now enrolled with Tesco’s club membership program.
Scroll down and click “Prefer a personal card? You can order a card and key fob.” Click that link to get redirected to the card ordering page (or click here if you already closed the web page). Then, confirm that you actually want a physical card delivered to you. You can download the Tesco app and log in using the email address and password you signed up with to access a digital clubcard. You have to jump through so many hoops to get a physical Tesco card because they’re trying to cut back on plastic waste. Don’t let them talk you out of a physical clubcard if you want one, though!
Wait 10 days for your card to arrive in the mail. Per Tesco, your card should arrive in the mail in a week and a half. If it takes more than 10 days for your card to arrive, contact Tesco’s customer service team at 0800 323 4040 to see what’s going on. If you aren’t sure you want a physical clubcard yet, you can always come back and click here to order one.
Phone
Contact the clubcard team at 0800 591 688 to sign up for a new card. If you haven’t enrolled in the Tesco clubcard program yet, call the clubcard team and ask the customer service representative to get you set up for a clubcard. They’ll help you enroll over the phone or direct you to the proper process.
Reach out to Tesco at 0800 917 7403 if you prefer to use WhatsApp. You don’t have to use a traditional phone number if you’re out of the country or you just prefer WhatsApp over regular phone calls. The customer service team at Tesco will help you enroll in the clubcard program.
Call clubcard’s customer service at 0800 323 4040 if you’re already a Tesco member. If you’ve already signed up for a Tesco clubcard and it either hasn’t arrived yet or you have questions about how your digital card works, call the clubcard customer service team. Ask them to either ship you a new card or check in on when your card will arrive. You can also try calling 011 44 1992 632222 to speak to Tesco’s general customer service.
Wait for Tesco to mail you a physical clubcard. If you order a card over the phone, it will likely take 10 days or so before they send the card out.
In Person
Swing by the customer service desk next time you’re at Tesco. It’s unclear if Tesco will issue clubcards at their store, but it’s hard to imagine their customer service clerks won’t at least help you with the process. Before you go shopping the next time, stop at the help desk and ask to speak to someone. You go shopping anyway, right? If you can’t figure this out at home, asking an employee for help the next time you’re there seems like a good next step.
Ask a customer service rep for help getting a Clubcard. Once you speak to a clerk, explain that you’re interested in a Tesco clubcard but that you need some assistance. They’ll either sign you up on the spot, complete the signup process on their website for you, or show you what you’ll need to do to sign up.
Fill out any personal applications per the clerk’s request. If the clerk signs you up or fills the app out for you, they’ll need your name, address, email, and postal code. Provide the info they ask for to complete the signup process.
