Changzhou: India continued their goal-scoring spree as they routed Singapore 12-0 in their second Pool A match of the seventh Women's Junior Asia Cup hockey tournament here on Sunday.

One day after humiliating North Korea 13-0, the Indian girls again put up a dominating display, scoring at regular intervals from the start against Singapore.

Anupa Barla, Preeti Dubey and M Lily Chanu scored braces each, while six others joined on the scoresheet.

India got off the blocks early and Jaspreet Kaur fired a penalty corner wide. But it was striker Punam Barla, who opened the account in the seventh minute and three minutes later, fellow forward Anupa doubled India's lead after receving a cross from captain Rani Rampal.

Midfielder Preeti (15th minute) and drag-flicker Jaspreet Kaur (25th minute) extended the lead as India went into the half-time with a 4-0 scoreline.

Singapore resisted relentless Indian pressure in the second half but it remained for only 14 minutes as midfielder Lily added the fifth goal.

Defender Gurjit Kaur came up with a crisp strike to make it 6-0, while attacking midfielder Lilima Minz scored another goal in a fascinating display of technical supremacy in the 59th minute.

Two minutes later, striker Navneet Kaur grabbed a quick chance to make it 8-0, while Lily completed her brace in the 65th minute.

Anupa got her second goal in the 68th minute as defender Deep Grace Ekka recorded a goal in the dying minute to make it 12-0.

Mathias Ahrens-coached India will face hosts China in their final Pool A match on Wednesday.
